Oh the wind is lashing lustily
And the trees are thrashing thrustily
And the trees are thrashing thrustily
And the leaves are rustling gustily
So it's rather safe to say
That it seems that it may turn out to be
It feels that it will undoubtedly
It looks like a rather blustery day, today

It was a blustery day on Tuesday, you are correct Mr. Pooh, you are correct indeed. My writing about music class trekked through down to Lowertown, inadvertantly taking the scenic route along way of course, to vist te Springboard for the Arts headquarters.
In a nutshell, Springboard for the Arts is resource and support central for artists of all trades. And by all trades, I do mean all of the arts. This organization has been there for musicians, painters, scuptors, fashion designers and more. At Springboard, artists can attend workshops and classes covering subjects like business and marketing skills for artists. Artists can also get free legal advise and take advantage of accounting help when doing, or attempting to do in my case, their taxes.
I got a very cool vibe while I was there. Everyone seemed to be really laid back and especially understanding to the needs of artists. Which, I suppose, is understandable considering they're all artists themselves, in one form or another. It's really great to know that there's an organization out there with an understanding of the "starving artist" epidemic throughout...well...everywhere.
It's pretty cool, so you should check it out. Nowish....

I am very happy to have been exposed to this organization; I really doubt I'd have found out about it if we hadn't braved the wind to get to Springboard for the Arts passed Tuesday. Though I doubt I'll be taking advantage of their services before I graduate, it is, indeed, a comfort to know that they are there when I do finally get out of school....If I ever get out of school......
