Hide and seek! The New Monarchs scavenger hunt and album release show

On March 26, 2010 at 9 p.m., Soup Bowl Record’s own The New Monarchs will officially release their new EP Electrocaching. The release show is free and will be held at the 501 Club in downtown Minneapolis. The New Monarchs will be headlining a show with special guests Ghost in the Water and Al Church & State.

This EP is The New Monarchs’ third release since 2008 under the local record label Soup Bowl Records. Soup Bowl Records posed a challenge to The New Monarchs fans with this release: a Minneapolis-wide scavenger hunt. Between March 22 and March 26, Soup Bowl Records will reveal hints to fans on Soup Bowl Records’ website that will lead scavenger hunt participants to the release show. Prizes will be awarded, including exclusive The New Monarchs’ recordings and a $50 bar tab at the 501 Club.

“Fans don’t have to worry about the [scavenger] hunt being too difficult,” Soup Bowl Records Vice President Brian Schwager noted. “We just wanted to give [The] New Monarchs’ fans a chance to get out with their friends, hit up some fun places around Minneapolis, and win some cool prizes.”
